Melbourne CBD
Level 27 with balcony views, two queen bedrooms, two bathrooms and free parking
The apartment
27 floors up on Little Lonsdale Street, with the skyline as your backdrop, Aurora is a bright, carefully considered two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment — and it comes with a free secure undercover car space, a rarity in central Melbourne. Two queen bedrooms sleep four, or up to six with the sofa bed; ducted heating and cooling, Miele cooking appliances, hotel-grade linen on premium mattresses and a 65-inch smart television are all part of the stay, and the building has its own heated pool and gym. Southern Cross Station is a short walk, inside the Free Tram Zone, where trams are free of charge. Ideal for families, groups and business travellers.
Two queen bedrooms and two bathrooms mean two couples, or a family, can travel together without queuing for the shower: the master has its own ensuite. The second bathroom has two doors, one from the second bedroom and one from the kitchen. Close and lock the kitchen door and it is a private ensuite for the second bedroom; open both doors and it is shared. The open-plan living and dining room has sweeping city views, a 65-inch smart television to sign in to your own streaming apps, a dining table for four, a collapsible desk with a swivel chair and a private balcony with a bistro setting; the sofa bed takes the fifth and sixth guests.
The kitchen has a Miele four-burner gas cooktop, a Miele wall oven and a Miele built-in microwave, with a Fisher & Paykel fridge-freezer and a Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer dishwasher, a Nespresso machine with a milk frother, a kettle, a toaster and a rice cooker. Coffee pods, tea, sugar, dishwasher tablets, laundry liquid and toilet paper are waiting when you arrive; a combination washer-dryer sits in the second bathroom, and ducted heating and cooling reaches every room.
Your building fob opens the heated pool and the gym, and neither needs booking. The car space is yours for the stay, with a garage remote handed over with your keys. The apartment is professionally cleaned and checked to a premium standard before every arrival.
Southern Cross Station — trains, coaches and SkyBus, the airport express — is 5 to 6 minutes’ walk. Lune Croissanterie, for croissants and coffee, is 3 minutes; Flagstaff Gardens, the nearest city park, 5; and Queen Victoria Market and Hardware Lane, a pedestrian street of restaurants and cafés, about 8.
Check-in is self-service: at a staffed counter at the station’s Bourke Street entrance, 8 to 10 minutes’ walk from the door, you are handed your keys, fob and garage remote, and we send clear directions before you travel.
A kettle, toaster and rice cooker, and starter coffee pods, tea and sugar.
Adjustable bedside touch lamps and wardrobe storage. Pillows and bedding for the sofa bed.
The second bathroom has dual access, from the second bedroom and from the kitchen. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash to start.
Open-plan living and dining with the city beyond, and a private balcony with a bistro table and two chairs.
A foldable clothes rack, and laundry liquid to start.
Open 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM and opened with your building fob.
Starter supplies are provided on arrival, and the supermarkets nearby have everything you need for a longer stay.

Australian sockets take a Type I plug (two flat pins set at an angle) — bring an adaptor.
A few practical points for international visitors. Power is 230 volts. The emergency number is 000, free from any phone. Melbourne tap water is safe to drink. Our Melbourne page covers the rest, including tipping and road safety.
A frosted glass feature wall brings in light from the living area, and a roller blind keeps it very dark; there is no external window. It is a comfortable, quiet room.
Permanent residents live here, and as with any inner-city address some ambient street noise is part of it.
The booking holder must be 18 or over. Cots and extra beds are not available, so six guests sleep in the two bedrooms and on the sofa bed. Please note this if you are travelling with an infant.
A smoke alarm is fitted, with a fire blanket under the kitchen sink. There is no carbon monoxide alarm. Security cameras cover the building’s shared entrances and lobbies; there are none inside the apartment or on the balcony.

If cooking gets smoky, open a window and switch on the rangehood — never open the front door. Never cover a smoke detector or prop open a fire door. A fire-brigade call-out is charged to the guest responsible.
Only small bagged kitchen waste goes down the chute. Boxes, bottles and large items block the chute, and the building charges the apartment for a blockage — please take them to the ground-floor bin room. Corridors, lifts and bin rooms are monitored by the building’s cameras, and any building fine, which can be significant, is passed on to the guest responsible.
The rate includes up to four guests. The sofa bed and its bedding are for bookings of five or six guests; the extra-guest charge for the fifth and sixth guests is shown in your booking total. On a booking of four guests or fewer, they may be used only if arranged and paid for in advance — message us before you arrive. If they are used without that, an additional linen and cleaning charge applies. Please use the mattress protector and sheets provided.
Cleaning and any extra-guest charge are included in your booking total. The charges below apply only if something goes wrong.
Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.

One free undercover space in the building car park is included with the apartment. A secure car space, with a height clearance of 2.1 metres. Your bay number is in your check-in message. Park one vehicle only, wholly within your bay; the building removes vehicles left in visitor bays or other residents’ spaces. It is the building’s shared indoor pool, for residents and guests alike. Your building fob opens the heated indoor pool and the gym, first come, first served, with no booking needed, open 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with a shower and toilet beside the pool. Two: the master ensuite, and a second bathroom described under The apartment, above.
Yes. The bedrooms sleep four, and the sofa bed in the living area takes a fifth and sixth guest; the sofa-bed terms are in the house rules. The bed arrangement in each apartment is fixed: beds cannot be split, swapped or added to.
Check-in is self-service, so nobody meets you at the door to check your ID. Instead, the booking holder verifies their identity online before arrival, through our secure provider, with a passport or driver’s licence; it takes about two minutes on a phone. It protects you, the apartment and the building’s residents, and your check-in details are released once it is complete. What is collected, and how long it is kept, is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Message us in the app you booked with, or email hello@casoluna.com. Your messages come straight to Casoluna, not to a call centre, so the person who answers knows your apartment.
